Slight increase in percentage of people and businesses participating in continuing education

Neuchâtel, 30.10.2017 - (FSO) – 63% of the population participated in continuing education in 2016. In comparison with the previous survey (2011), this corresponds to a slight increase in the population’s participation (up 5%). The percentage of businesses that support the continuing education of their employees rose to 89% (up 6%). The percentage of employees supported by their employer, however, has hardly changed (44% compared with 43% in 2011). These are some of the initial findings from the Swiss Adult Education Survey and the Survey on professional training and continuing education in businesses conducted in 2016 by the FSO.
