Four out of five people in Switzerland use contraception

Neuchâtel, 23.06.2017 - (Obsan) – Which contraceptives are used in Switzerland and by whom? The method of contraception is an individual decision. But the impact on society of unwanted pregnancies or complications with contraceptive methods should not be underestimated. The first Swiss report on contraception describes contraceptive trends, frequency and methods in Switzerland from 1992 to 2012. On behalf of Obsan, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute has analysed data from the Swiss Health Survey.
