Chief of Armament to visit Paris-Le Bourget
Bern, 20.06.2017 - From 19-21 June, Chief of Armament Martin Sonderegger will be visiting the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, along with the chief of armed forces planning, Brigadier General Rolf Siegenthaler, and an armasuisse delegation. Over the course of their stay, they will be meeting with representatives from several companies and procurement authorities.
In addition to meetings with the French, Israeli and American defence and procurement authorities, visits with and presentations by exhibitors and company representatives are also on the agenda.
A special focus will be placed on companies that may be of interest to the ‘new combat aircraft’ and ‘ground-based air defence’ projects. In anticipation of planned procurements, this visit will serve as an opportunity to share information and provide an update on the current status of Switzerland’s activities. Another aim of this trip is to maintain and intensify the already good relations with the industry and with governmental organisations. The Swiss representatives will also seize further opportunities to discuss the two procurement projects with potential suppliers.
In addition to the chief of armament, Martin Sonderegger, the armasuisse delegation will include the head of aeronautical systems, Peter Winter, and the head of science and technology, Thomas Rothacher.
