Vital Statistics 2016 - More births and fewer deaths in 2016
Neuchâtel, 29.06.2017 - (FSO) – The year 2016 was marked by an increase in the number of births, marriages and registered partnerships. A rise was also seen in the number of paternity acknowledgements and divorces. A decrease was only observed in the number of deaths compared with 2015. Life expectancy continued to rise. These are the final results of the Vital Statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
