Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer receives Serbian Finance Minister

Bern, 24.03.2017 - On 24 March 2017, Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer will receive the Serbian Finance Minister, Dušan Vujović, on a visit to Bern. The two finance ministers will address financial and economic policy issues, as well as collaboration in the Bretton Woods institutions. Thomas Jordan, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank, will also take part in the discussions.

The two ministers will talk about the global economic outlook and economic developments in Europe. In particular, they will discuss developments since the Brexit referendum and its international implications. Bilateral relations with the EU will also be discussed.

A further topic will be the long-standing cooperation between the two countries in international financial institutions. Serbia is a member of the Swiss constituency in the Bretton Woods institutions (World Bank and International Monetary Fund). The Swiss constituency also includes Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
