Selective lifting of sanctions against Syria

Bern, 10.3.2017 - On 10 March 2017, the Federal Council lifted selected sanctions against Syria, thus following the EU decision to facilitate the purchase and financing of petroleum products for humanitarian organisations operating in Syria. The change comes into effect on 10 March 2017 at 6.00pm.
