Hospital Statistics 2015: provisional figures - One person in eight receives inpatient care
Neuchâtel, 25.11.2016 - (FSO) – In 2015, one million people were admitted to one of the 285 Swiss hospitals and birthing centres for inpatient treatment. This corresponds to 12.5% of the total population, a similar number to previous years. As some patients received multiple treatments, there were around 1.4 million inpatient hospital stays. These are provisional findings on inpatient healthcare from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
