Birth of enterprises 2014 – 42,478 new businesses in 2014
Neuchâtel, 10.10.2016 - (FSO) - 42,478 businesses were created from scratch in 2014, i.e. 5161 more than in 2013 (+13.8%). The creation of jobs was slightly less dynamic, with an increase of 11.1%. The number of jobs generated by new businesses grew from 51,317 in 2013 to 56,996 in 2014. These are provisional findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The new business statistics have been completely revised. This means that these results cannot be compared with previous statistics.
