Survey of motor vehicle drivers 2015 – Young drivers greater users of new technologies at the steering wheel

Neuchâtel, 01.09.2016 - (FSO) - In 2015, young adults were far more likely to use a mobile phone at the steering wheel than older generations. Although drivers consider dictating or listening to a message while driving to be less serious, the majority still opt to read or write messages. Finally, over the past five years, most people sensed a stability or improvement in road safety according to the survey of motor vehicle drivers conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
