Colombia: Switzerland congratulates the government and the FARC on the final peace agreement
Bern, 25.08.2016 - Switzerland congratulates the government and the FARC on yesterday's conclusion of the final peace agreement, which is a major step forward towards building lasting peace in Colombia.
Since 2001, Switzerland has been fully engaged in the promotion of peace in Colombia and has supported the peace process in various areas, including by means of technical assistance.
Switzerland continues to support Colombia with a CHF 8 million contribution to the peace funds and the implementation of three cooperation programmes in the areas of humanitarian aid, peace and human rights, and economic development.
