Gotthard Base Tunnel: Start of Media Accreditation for the Opening Ceremony
Bern, 15.02.2016 - On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, the Gotthard Base Tunnel will be ceremonially opened. As from today, media professionals have the opportunity to apply for accreditation for the festivities.
The opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel is an event of great significance for Switzerland and Europe. The organisers are therefore expecting numerous journalists who will report on this historic occasion.
For the media there are several sites from which they can report on the various elements of the opening festivities. For reasons of space, access to the event itself, on the festivities sites at Rynächt and Pollegio, is restricted. All media are cordially invited to the Media Conference which will take place on the morning of June 1, 2016, in Castione-Arbedo.
You will find further information and the application form on the website www.gottardo2016.ch/medien. The deadline for registrations is the end of March, 2016. The media will then be assigned to the festivities sites. If the number of applications for accreditation exceeds the available number of places, the organisers of the opening festivities will make a selection.
