Costs and funding of transport 2010 – Transport generates annual costs of CHF 95 billion
Neuchâtel, 14.04.2015 - (FSO) - The total costs for transport in Switzerland in 2010 amounted to CHF 94.7 billion. This is equivalent to approx. CHF 12,000 per inhabitant. Road transport accounted for CHF 78 billion, rail transport CHF 10.3 billion and aviation CHF 6.4 billion. None of the user groups fully funded the generated costs themselves in either passenger transport or freight transport. These are the latest findings of the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) statistic on the costs and funding of transport.
