Population change in Switzerland 2013 – Switzerland's population continues to grow

Neuchâtel, 29.09.2014 - (OFS) - At the end of 2013, Switzerland's permanent resident population was 8,139,600, i.e. an increase of 100,600 persons (+1.3%) compared with 2012. The number of immigrations and emigrations is increasing. The increase in the number of Swiss nationals is mainly due to naturalisations. These are the final results of the population and households statistics (STATPOP) issued by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
