Swiss Health Survey 2012 – Two in ten older people living at home are limited in their everyday activities

Neuchâtel, 04.09.2014 - (FSO) - Two in ten people aged 65 years or over living in a private household are limited in their everyday activities. More than half of these receive help from relatives or from home care services. Locomotion, eyesight and hearing problems increase the risk of these limitations. The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) presents its new findings on the state of health of older people living in a private household, based on data from the Swiss Health Survey carried out in 2012.
