Switzerland-China: Exchange of views on space affairs

Bern, 23.09.2013 - A Swiss scientific and economic mission headed by the Swiss Space Office at SERI met with Chinese counterparts in mid- September 2013.

China’s space programmes are testament to the dynamism of the space sector and make China an important actor in this field. The Swiss scientific and economic mission headed by the Swiss Space Office at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) included representatives from the federal administration, the academic world and industry.

The discussions with the high-ranking representatives of the Chinese space programme confirmed the mutual will to build on and strengthen cooperation in space affairs between both countries. They also provided an opportunity to explore new mutually beneficial opportunities for cooperation, particularly in terms of scientific space missions.
