Aid to offence victims 2007 – Close relationship between victim and suspect in over half of consultations

Neuchâtel, 08.09.2008 - (FSO) – Counselling centres deal mostly with offences occurring within the family or other close relationships. In 2007, there was a close relationship between the victim and the suspected offender in over half of all consultations. The victims are mostly female and the suspected offenders male. These are the latest findings from the aid to victims statistics, produced by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
