The number of employed persons rose by 2.2% and the unemployment rate (ILO) fell to 3.9% in the 4th quarter 2023

Neuchâtel, 22.02.2024 - In the 4th quarter 2023, the number of people in employment in Switzerland rose by 2.2% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) fell from 4.1% to 3.9% in Switzerland and from 6.1% to 5.9% in the EU. These are the findings of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS) conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
