COVID-19: vaccination recommended and possible for children from the beginning of January
Bern, 14.12.2021 - The Federal Office of Public Health FOPH and the Federal Commission for Vaccination FCV also recommend two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for children aged between five and eleven. If they wish, parents or legal guardians can have their child vaccinated on the basis of an individual assessment of the benefits and risks, as soon as the vaccination is available. The recommendation is based on the authorisation by Swissmedic of the Comirnaty® mRNA vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech for children aged between five and eleven.
