Swiss approval for Monaco to join TV5MONDE
Bern, 27.10.2021 - Monaco’s application to join French-language television channel TV5MONDE has been approved by Switzerland. On 27 October 2021, the Federal Council gave the green light for the Principality of Monaco to become a partner state alongside Switzerland, France, Belgium, Canada and Quebec. To this end, it instructed the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) to sign the updated TV5MONDE Charter on Switzerland’s behalf as well as an agreement on the terms and conditions for Monaco’s integration.
