Strengthening Switzerland’s presence: Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis inaugurates the new Swiss embassy building in Jordan
Bern, 13.5.2018 - Switzerland strengthens its presence in Jordan: On 13 May 2018, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis inaugurated the new Swiss embassy building in the Jordanian capital Amman. With the new premises the diplomatic and consular sections and international cooperation will work together under the same roof. The new integrated embassy underscores the importance of Jordan for Swiss foreign policy. In addition, it enhances the coherence of Switzerland’s activities to help the people in the country, many of whom are affected by the various conflicts in the region.
