Federal Council appoints project coordinator for the provision of administrative assistance in the UBS case
Bern, 19.8.2009 - The Federal Council has instructed the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) to set up a project organisation team to deal with the second complex request for administrative assistance from the USA and has appointed Hans-Jörg Müllhaupt as project coordinator. Working on the basis of the International Treaty between Switzerland and the USA on matters relating to UBS, this project organisation team should enable the FTA to deal quickly with the forthcoming administrative assistance request. The project organisation team will be set up in stages and should be fully operational within two to three weeks.
