National Consumer Price Index in July 2012 – Prices on downward trend due to sales

Neuchâtel, 07.08.2012 - (FSO) - The national consumer price index calculated by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) registered a decline of 0.5% in July 2012. It reached 99.0 points (December 2010=100). Year-on-year inflation was -0.7%, compared with annualised rates of -1.1% in June 2012 and +0.5% in July 2011.
